AB Texel move forward with a new Priden Zero T
Published 01 July, 2020
We have recently completed this stunning Zero T trailer for AB Texel Feed, the trailer will be operated on the continent and benefits from a host of advantages above and beyond its tipping counterparts.
The Priden ZERO-T is one of the safest delivery systems on the market, It features our trademark electronic rear door cut off system, which will automatically cut power to the rear feeder and moving parts if the door is opened during operation – ensuring driver safety at all times.
The ZERO-T eradicates the need for tipping – as the ZERO-T doesn’t need to tip at all. This key feature allows the driver to deliver in high winds, under overhead cables and in buildings where tipping vehicles are unable to reach. The stability of the vehicle means that inclines are no longer an issue either. Without the risk of the trailer toppling over, the non-tip can deliver on almost any ground type.
This Zero T was fitted with Wabco optiturn system enabling improved manoeuvrability when loaded or unloaded, an array of axle options are available including mechanical and electric steering systems for the ultimate manoeuvrability.
An electric sheeting system complete with remote control reduces the need for drivers to climb catwalks, enabling them to remain grounded at all times. This reduces the need of working at height and the risk of falls.
The Priden ZERO-T also features a master override switch which prevents any accidental product overload on the belt.
This Lightweight aluminium body has 6 fixed partitions splitting the body into 7 equal compartments, we can offer a range of combinations to suit your requirements.
Another benefit of the Zero T is the compartments can be unloaded in any order making operational challenges easier to overcome.
Below the compartments is a hydraulic gate system that can be operated from the main control box mounted on the nearside (European Spec) or offside (UK spec) the hydraulic oil used to operate the gates is that of a food grade standard, this means in the event of an internal leak the product will not be compromised.
A conveyor belt transports the product to the rear of the trailer to either discharge through the rotary feeder and into the air stream below or alternatively straight out of the rear door which is supplied with a chute to enable return load capabilities.
Above the rotary feeder is our patented dynamic venting system , this removes negative air flow ensuring a continuous uninterrupted flow of product into the rotary feeder at all times.
For completeness an air vibration system is fitted along the full length of the body ensuring no product is left inside the body after unloading, this also helps to agitate products with a sticky consistency.
We are proud to showcase this market leading innovative product and with more currently in production the Zero T will soon be coming to a farm near you!
